British Hand Dyed Stein Fine Wool

British Yarn from our own farm on the Surrey Hampshire borders.

Over the last ten years we have developed our own range of fine 100% wool yarns, from our pedigree flocks of gotland, shetland and merino sheep. Stein Fine Wool® has been a labour of love, selectively cross breeding only the best and finest fibre sheep to give a lustrous soft fibre. Arguably the softest yarn born, raised, and produced in the UK. Stein Fine Wool has a slight bloom when blocked and the handle of cashmere. It gives good stitch definition and is worsted spun for strength and softness.

Raised on conservation meadows, and shorn by Susie at Christmas for the best quality fibre. Washed in Yorkshire and spun in a traditional mill in Devon, then back to the farm for dyeing.

This must be one of the finest lustre fibre now in the UK
